The 6th Joint Economic and Trade Commission Meeting between China and Estonia was held in the capital city Tallin in Estonia on 28th Aug 2005. Estonian Ministry of Foreign Affairs hosted this meeting. The vice Minister of the Ministry of Commerce of China, Mr. Yu Guangzhou, and his counterpart, the Undersecretary of Estonian Ministry of Foreign Affairs Mr. Mart Laanemae presided over the meeting.
During the meeting both sides discussed how to further promote the development of bilateral trade and economic cooperation in future with a lot of common understandings have been reached. Both parties also discussed the possibilities of utilizing Estonian ports and its facilities to develop international transit transportation between two sides and agreed to provide more detailed plans or suggestions to each other through the Economic and Commercial Counselor’s Office of Chinese Embassy in Estonia.
